Site Project

Over the last four weeks we have been working on our site project.. The essence of this brief was to take and everyday ordinary object and make it something unique and interesting.
The direction I took this brief in was to create personalities for my objects which were two dinner trays, one that gets used every day and one that lives on the top of the self and has done since we bought them.
I highlighted facts about each different tray, monitoring a day in the life of the separate objects.

My main outcome for this brief was the partnered storyboard to the animation but I gave creating the animation a go as well and was surprisingly pleased with my first attempt of imovie.

The site project has re emphasized the importance of research in a project..

Real World

For our first project of the third year we have been working on the Real World brief.. This brief was set as a group project, we were split into groups of 4 or 5 and briefed via skype by Elmwood.

There were many different components involved in this brief, the first was our group - mine consisted of three others from my year group, it was an exciting chance to work with people I hadn't worked with before. The second component was from Elmwood who briefed us and stayed involved throughout the project. The final component came from Departures design agency in Cardiff Bay. This was an amazing opportunity to work with this design agency as I have admired their work for a while..

The brief was to give a Welsh identity to Cardiff airport, we had no limitations or budget to stick to so we were able to get creative without restraining ourselves..

I really enjoyed working on this brief for many different reasons, It was an exciting opportunity to work with others in my peer group, working with departures was an exciting and inspiring experience and the overall organization involved in the group allowed me to realize my strengths within graphic design.
